About the Tournament

ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT
The Second Annual Home Stretch Softball Tournament is a charity softball tournament to benefit Caitie and Justin’s 2010 Boston Marathon Fundraising initiative to benefit the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. All proceeds will go directly towards their combined fundraising total of almost $20,000 to benefit cancer research at DFCI.  The tournament is at “The Home Stretch” for a few reasons — its location in Cleveland Circle is along the last and most difficult leg of the Boston Marathon route and the date of the tournament is two days before the race. The obvious softball metaphor also applies!

OPPORTUNITY DRAWING

Seeing as how this is a baseball/softball themed tournament, we are holding an opportunity drawing for some TOTALLY SWEET PRIZES at the end of the tournament.

Such prizes include, but are not limited to, Red Sox tickets, signed baseballs, and other Fenway Park stuff. Check out the prizes page to see more. Extra opportunity drawing chances will be available before and during the tournament as well.

PARKING
There is limited parking — some free and some metered — in Cleveland Circle, very close to the field. Otherwise there is parking at the former seminary (BC’s Brighton Campus on Commonwealth Ave.) or there is free parking in the garages at BC with a shuttle that runs directly to Cleveland Circle.
